Update March 2013
I was asked to give Reiki to a rather beautiful but somewhat nervous cat some time ago, she had been a rescue cat and her history was unknown. She approach me right away and sat on my lap, as I felt the Reiki energy begin to flow, so did the cat and she laid out full stretch, however, as I placed my hands on her, she began to sit up as if she was going to jump off, I immediately raised my hands and worked in the aura instead, she settled again and we spent an enjoyable 15 mins together before she indicated that the session was over.
I feel that this cat was
carried about and maybe by a child as she is known to
hiss only at children she cannot stand two hands about her, in this case, I worked "hands off" but could have
sent distant healing if necessary
Animals respond very well to
Reiki, remember to allow the animal to dictate
the length of any treatment, the results
are extremely rewarding, more vets than ever
are incorporating holistic therapies into
their practice.I now give Reiki to her on a
regular basis and she will often come into the room
while her owner has treatments, my own cat loves to sit
along while I give treatments but as she is so vocal and
tends to sit on the clients, I usually have to decant
her to the next room, cats!! dont you just love them!
If you are interested in finding out more,
read on, completing Reiki one will enable you to
facilitate Reiki to animals and Reiki two will allow you
to send distant healing to those further away or to
those who are unable to tolerate hands upon them,
various dates for training are available, please contact
me for details.
Sending love and light
Sharon
